Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS)

The Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) program is a health insurance program within AHCCCS for individuals with an age-related and/or physical disability who require ongoing services at a nursing facility level of care.

However, program participants do not have to reside in a nursing home. Many ALTCS participants live in their own homes or an assisted living facility and receive needed in-home services. ALTCS participants are also covered for medical care, including doctor's office visits, hospitalization, prescriptions, lab work, and behavioral health services.
